Profile Information

Please introduce yourself to all of us.: Dr. Bernard Alvarez D.M. has been a spiritual teacher for over 20 years. He is a certified Reiki Master, an ordained Minister, has a Doctor of Metaphysics, is the Author of the Book of One, he's self published hundreds of teaching video's and has appeared on television and dozens of radio shows.

Bernard first began teaching in his twenties when he became the High Priest of the Circle of Divine Light Coven where completed the 5 degrees of initiation. In the Pagan tradition Bernard is considered a King of Witches with over 5 covens hiving off his original home group.

After giving his role as leader of the coven to his High Priestess, Bernard began to teach out of the broom closet, publicly as leader of his local CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) group. After leading his CUUPS group for several years he moved into the local Magickal Shoppe and began holding weekly classes there for the general public.

One night Bernard was awakened by what he describes as "bluish light beings" that appeared to him (and still do). He was instructed to create a global network and safe haven for the new generation about to awaken.

This work continues today with the internationally known and respected Global Illumination Council.

Bernard is currently the Executive Director of the GIC, host of The justBernard Show and Producer of all GIC Radio shows. He also continues to write and publish teaching videos on the GIC You Tube Partner channel, also called justbernard and is looking forward to begin teaching LIVE on GICTV.

As an activist, Bernard see's that there must be a balance in creating outward change as well as internal spiritual change. He is an advocate for global justice and is heavily involved in his local Occupy as a facilitator and other roles.
